Share how you made your first $.

I can't remember the actual first dollar, but it was probably selling website development in the mid 90's. Also the SEO to go along with them (was dead easy back then).

My site ranking service was an extra $300 IIRC on top of the website development service. I'd place them on #1 for any kw's on infoseek, yahoo and a dozen other "search engines" (mostly directories).

Yahoo listing was free back then, so you'd be able to test various ways to get to #1 on the directory.

Altavista was when things got serious for me. Then I decided to quit my other business and go with IM full time.

Then came Google. Excellent business there too.

Good times.

It was in 2013 and it was when I started with Google Ads after quitting a tech support call center job. So, I knew all about remote tech support and thought let me make a website, take a US toll free number (which was mentioned on the website) and run the website in Google Ads, and so I did that and made my first internet based money that way. DISCLAIMER : Those days there were no restrictions in running tech support campaigns in Google Ads (nowadays one needs to do it the blackhat way).
