Share an observation or ask a question about recent Google updates

Has anyone noticed slower indexing recently for fresh content? I’ve been testing a new blog and even with sitemap + GSC it’s taking over a week. Curious if this is a temporary glitch or part of the latest algorithm shift.

It's not a bug. It's a feature. Google will index slowly and deindex multiple pages to prevent spam.

Jokes aside, many people are pumping content due to availability of AI tools. Google servers have limited capacity, so they are struggling to crawl and index content since several months. Things will get worse in the future if there are no technological upgrades to cope up with the growing storage demands.

Google is always lazy on indexing.
