Shadowbanned with powerlike

Yeah, I just took over for a SMM client who was shadowbanned for powerlikes.
The account was actually banned but when I took over from the other agency I was able to get it unbanned by claiming that the account had been stolen
After being unbanned the account still had a shadow ban though...
It took about 2 weeks to get out of the IG sh*t-house. The engagement now is less than before when the powerlikes were going, but at least we are ranking on hashtags again.
I'd recommend using powerlikes on small accounts that you're trying to grow fast and push hard. But there is a chance to get punished for it

With power likes you must just randomize all (number of likes | hours | accs | engagement time) if you can't randomize accs on every post at least on a weekly basis, they must like from explore or at least follow you and like from the feed.

I would say it's possible, I remember when I used to be in a powerLike group and I got my personal account shadow banned for quite a while. Once it was lifted my engagement dropped 50%, eventho I was posting much better pictures. I'm now contemplating if it's a good idea to pay for some power likes on some pictures that I know it's viral worthy once a week.

So is this "powerlikes cause shadowban or even ban" another conspiracy theory/guesswork or can someone with knowledge and experience confirm this? I just bought this powerlike service from social plug (in the marketplace) and now you guys got me seriously worried!

There are too many variables a play here to say specifically powerlikes did this, but I would not doubt it.
