Hi all,

Made an account and grew it to about 3k followers but it has now been shadow banned which from what I've read is permanent.

I know why (mass follow/unfollow and DM'ing) so I made a new account to start again. The new account (which was a 2yr old personal account I signed up for but never used) has been shadowbanned too within a few hours and I haven't followed anyone or done anything on it apart from post 1 picture.

How do I stop this happening? When I first opened the new account it wasn't shadowbanned, I was on 4G at the time but have since connected the phone to my wifi, is that what has caused this? Or is the username being very similar and the same link the problem?

I really want to start again and do it right :(

Having a link in new accounts (even if the new account is "aged") is problematic... Instagram sees activity over age in some scenarios.

Your problem can be the link, instagram analyzes everything, if you use redirects it detects it quickly, even if you use a landing with a button, it detects where it leads that button, you need a little imagination to skip those robots

So if I start a new account without adding a link to it do you think that would work? Or if I remove the link will that remove the ban maybe?

It's only a YouTube account I'm not selling anything or anything like that

Try to temporarily disable the account for few days. It helped me.

You can do it via computer, not phone.

Remember not to log in for a few days.

Just disable the account and don't touch it for like 2 weeks... It's a long wait but it'll have the biggest success rate.
