I believe it should be included in the 8th-grade curriculum, as introducing earlier might be challenging for students to grasp. It's essential for everyone to understand their bodies and be informed about all aspects related to them.

8th grade seems a bit late..
By 6th grade we all knew what goes where and how things work, and that was in the 90s. I guess today it starts even earlier.

I would say basic concepts like body awareness, privacy, and respecting others can be taught by parents at home, while more detailed lessons should be introduced with the understanding that each child develops at their own pace.
By 6th grade, some students may not be ready for sensitive topics, and it could become a source of distraction among peers. It's important for students to be mentally prepared for detailed education. I believe age-appropriate sex education helps build a solid foundation for understanding these topics in a healthy and respectful way.

My parents have never mentioned this matter, if I relied on them to teach me something about it, I wouldn't knew anything xD

Learnt it in school and that was about it.
In the age of information though, it shouldn't be too hard to find things on the matter. Everyone should just be directed to the internet, or if that's a problem, maybe books could do well too.

I'd like to have had the opportunity to learn something from them about it, for my own safety and knowledge
Luckily I didn't suffer any kind of abuse, maybe I would struggle to identify it as a naive kid, but thanks God nothing happened
Maybe because of this kind of situation, it's useful to see teachers teaching it on school, although they already have tons of subjects to teach us
