So I have researched many and many different strategies and decided to create an Amazon Cart with product reviews as well as have reviews of different ebooks through clickbank. I have setup 2 sites(I have bought about 6 more domains in order to mimic the process when the time comes) and have not had any success so far with them. It is pushing 2 months and I have only received 1 sale so far(which I am very excited about).

I was hoping someone could give me some solid advice to help clear up what I might be doing wrong?? I receive anywhere from 50-150 hits on the site from targeted people yet not conversions.

I also have a news/media site that I have also been trying to monetize and I am trying to figure out the best ways to do this. I am currently getting 8000 uv's a day however my adsense ads only push a little over a dollar a day. I have recently tried adding an affiliate amazon account to sell products and have not really had much luck doing that either.

I know I can't force people to buy items and I don't want to give up on these sites. I spend at least an hour a day on each site(sometimes upto 4 hours, depending on my work) to help market the sites.

I have been using google alerts and have been posting on blogs, news articles, and forums.

Thanks guys for your help! I have truly learned a lot by reading all the great help, but I feel like I am missing something here.

    Emase,

Do you have any tracking set up on your websites and conversion funnels? If you do, take a look at where people are abandoning the process. If you don't have tracking set up, you should look into doing that because there is no way to tell what is going wrong.

Generally with sales funnels online, there could be a number of issues causing visitors to not do what you want them to do. For example they could be getting distracted by something else, there could be something causing anxiety (long forms or sales processes), or perhaps marketing language is not enticing or informative enough. Whatever the case may be, having some kind of data to point you in the right direction is helpful.

Here is a good post on tracking a conversion funnel,

    Hope that helps you,
