    Hey everyone,

Just had a quick question re: the best way to set up WP permalinks.

    Should I:

    1) just do site.com/[post-title]

    2) Try to do a silo struction where it is site.com/page/subpage/[truncated title]

I know that Silos are supposed to be phenomenal but my problem is twofold. First off, I would need to not only silo things, but create pages for them as well as link it page -> subpage -> post. Second off, I see a lot of successful WP blogs/sites that use the first method (just site.com/title) and are ranking very well.

Thank you all so much for your help!

Note-- I'm hoping to make this a long term authority site not a churn-and-burn site.

I would go with #2. I have my Wordpress permalinks set up like this in order to place the articles in a subdirectory: www.site.com/blog/%postname%/. Outside of posts, my pages are separated based on their category (e.g., homepage>services>SEO or homepage>tutorials>SEO guide) in order to maintain an organised navigation system on my sites
