Setting up VPS for Proxy

Does anyone know of a decent cheap VPS hosting company that
I could set up VPS to sell proxies. They all seem to very expensive.
Need cheap hosting and additional ips. How does the big proxy
sellers do it?

Big proxies providers have custom prices because they buy a lot of servers and IPs

I can provide a block of 255 IPs at $2.25 each for the first month, $1.75 second month, and $1/mo thereafter, clean unused IPs.

We can always buy our own server racks and do it in-house ?

an IP price where you add the server cost is $1, what proxies do you see with a price lower then $1 are shared proxies also called semi-dedicated, even if the proxies sellers are telling you that those proxies are dedicated ...

i wasn't aware of the thread date, however @Rock_Shock has bring back to life this very old thread.

I was just making a point that if someone is doing IM on a mass scale.. suppose anyone needs 50K proxies.. then instead of buying em just host your own racks.. IN - HOUSE is always cheaper than vendor when done in extreme bulk.

Suppose hypothetically it cost 1.5 $ to get a proxy from decent seller (dedicated)
It would cost 1.3 if done on VPS (You are cutting out a middleman..the IP Seller..but still one more remains)
It would cost maybe 1.1 if done on own servers in own datacenter (You just cut out the VPS seller too)

Obviously, this works only if doing in bulk..better off buying for like 20-100 proxies than self hosting
This improves margins.. 0.4 $ is not a lot..but when you use 50K it is an insane cost per month.. 0.4$ per proxy less on a base of 1.5 means 27% discount.. Means a lot when playing with bigger numbers..
