Trying to set-up my website, and I have changed the nameservers I think from godaddy to Ipage, but site is still saying 'under development'.

This site is under development

This page indicates the webmaster has not uploaded a website to the server. For information on how to build or upload a site, please visit your web hosting company's site.

Any ideas whats wrong? Thanks a lot

Did you already upload your website trough ftp?
If you already did that, it could be that your index page is named index.php and there is still a page named index.html. Because index.html gets preference over index.php.

If you just changed your name servers then it could be that it has not propagated properly through the internet. This takes about 24 72 hours depending where you are.

Check internic.com and do a whois on your site if it's not on their list then its probably not propagated.

You can also do a DNS flush open Command Prompt and type in C:>ipconfig /flushdns

This should clean it up......but more than not it will be because you have to wait a bit..

ok thanks. I change the name server like an hour or so ago.

Make sure you have changed your Index.html.

Your site may be working on PHP, and you will have a index.php, but the webserver automatically points to Index.html than php. So leave a check on that :)

It can take up to 48hrs. If it doesn't change after 48hrs, contact support.

thanks guys, now onto ranking on google ;)

thanks very much guys, it worked for me
Otherwise, search for home.html, and rename it...

They are right, DNS hasn't propogated yet. A lot of factors on the time it takes to happen but when you are in a hurry it won't happen quickly.
