I was wondering if you set up 2/3 locals in GMB with the same name but different address, how do citations work? Does it cause in an impacted on them all?
Would it be better to create another name but something similar and build citations just to that GMB?

Thanks Tommy

This is great idea. It's make your brand more potentiol also the vaue of bran just give you extra benefits. But keep in mind each GMB need to diffrent address and phone number. otherwise Google just kick you.

As I see many of them try to create backlinks for GMB rangking truly it's won't effect any ranking. Also if you try to manage 2/3 local GB at same categories ,yes same name can make your bran value very strongly.

Citations can be effective for ranking your GMBs. But they are only factor. Also it depends on what citations you create. Some of them are a complete waste of time.

If you're setting up multiple GMBs for the same brand in different locations, citations can still be built for each specific address. However, consistency across all platforms is crucial. If there's variation in NAP (Name, Address, Phone number) across different platforms, it can affect your local SEO rankings. If these locations represent distinct branches of the same business, you'd keep the name same and only change the address and phone number. But, if you're thinking of entirely separate entities, then a different name might make sense
