Setting up an affiliate network to promote an E-book

Hey BHW,
Just got back a bit ago from a year long trip. Back into marketing! ;)
I'm in the process of writing an E-book, and marketing it. I was wanting to set up an affiliate network that linked from my landing page.

I will be hooking affiliates up with GREAT comissions, full marketing materials (Graphics, keyword lists, potential emails, bonuses etc.).

Does anyone have a good recommendation on a software/script to set this up with?
I've looked at affiliate network pro but I can't find any reviews of it that don't seem biased. Any suggestions here?

Any help here would be great BHW!

Clickbank would be the most common choice for an ebook.
 
Yes, I'm planning on doing Clickbank. I'd also like to promote it independently through my website. This way I can offer higher commissions.

Does Clickbank allow this? That was a Q I forgot to ask.
 
So do you think it'd be advisable to just do that? Sounds easier, but they take 7.5% which can end up being alot of profits.
 
If you check out some other processors / gateways they will take a similar amount, eg. Plimus (which you can also use to run affiliates) takes 10%.
 
What about this affiliate pro software? It doesn't take any commissions. Any input on that?

Can't comment on that software specifically but you will still pay fees of some sort at the processor. The don't process credit cards for free. The only affiliate backend I have personally used is NATS which is aimed more at adult sites but is awesome. However I generally prefer to keep my traffic generation in house. :)

Alright thanks for your help Autumn! I think I'm going to go with CB only. Seems much easier.
 
Best start is clickbank and if the product sells or becomes popular, you can then setup your own affiliate scheme (there are plenty, like tipsandtricks-hq.com).

It really basically depends on your goals and objectives.
