I am in middle of creating a membership website... probably wont be up for a while as it takes a ton of work.

Anyways, I really don't want to use paypal for monthly payments, I have heard it can get messed up by them very easily with digital membership type things.

Wondering what anyone here has experiences with and suggests!

Ones I have heard of but have no experience with:

Clickbank
2checkout

any others I should look into?

Thanks!

I use PP, but am looking to move off of it in order to diversify as there are far too many PP horror stories for my liking.

Having said that I just signed up with 2CO, but since its a new service and I don't have much "history" the underwriters didn't give me the advertised rate which is like 3%. Instead they offered me 7.5%.

So beware, chances are your membership site will fall under 7.5% rather than the advertised 3% that they show on their website.

EDIT: Clickbank appears to have similar pricing as 2CO, although its 7.5% + $1: http://www.clickbank.com/help/vendor-help/vendor-basics/selling-basics/clickbank-vendor-charges/

Ouch! 7.5% is too much! yeah I agree, after hearing all the paypal horror stories I really want to stay away from them!

Authorize.Net
Payment gateway enables internet merchants to accept online payments via credit card and e-check.

This option is worth a look

Authorize.net like the above poster mentioned, but it's much cheaper to go through one of their resellers, such as Flagship Merchant Services, rather than direct.

FMS rates are:
Debit: 0.98% - $0.21
Credit: 1.98% - $0.21
AMEX: 3.25% - $0.21

Contact me if you need help setting it up.

Authorize.net as several mentioned.

I didn't know they had resellers but I'll check it out.

Thanks!

Yet another for authorize.net

Their integration options, support and information provided is absolutely stellar.
