How do you guys deal with being spun-out or burnt-out but haven't got the choice to stop trying?

World would make you smile to keep from crying damn...

I’ve been in this situation before my man.

Is this related to ecom?

Seen your past posts.

I’ve been dealing with set back after set back for a while too, you just need to remember the successful times , remember how good that felt.

Then treat every failure as the next step to sucess.

With ecom, things can change very fast, you can go from zero, to hero, to zero again.

From $20k a week, to $0 for the next 9 months (personal experience)

All you can do is try, learn, and switch it up.

PMs are open anytime.

If this is about IM then just take a break and work a regular job, there is no shame in it and you can always come back.

I just try not to rely on things that don't make me live the life I want to live.
CPA was like setback after setback for me. So I became a web developer and a writer.
Now my goal is to be a businessman.

I mean, it feels great if you are able to spend 5 - 6 hours daily on something and just put it aside. Doesn't it?

There are many things which you can do to make a living. Don't get stucked in the business you currently operate in.
All the guys who would be considered great money makers usually do 3 - 4 different things. They never stop on one thing. Otherwise they would lose.
Believe it or not, one business is not enough.

Let's say you run 4 small companies. One of them is failing terribly. You take care of other 3 and don't let yourself get stucked in negative thoughts.
You don't waste time and don't let bad occurences ruin your dreams.

I'm on the exact same boat bro. From CPA to web development, from web dev to marketing itself... @Crazycam727 post is related to real world difficulties, taking up my time and causing hassle...

And @ everyone else with the positive replies... I can only do my best but my past is still doing its best to prevent that. Heads getting heavy with all these attempts, I've come so far but getting this far has me crawling.

Flustered day in day out...

E-commerce is not the best choice if you want to make a living without leaving your dorm.
Services are what allowed me to put worries about clientele aside.
There are so many small jobs that I don't even have to search.

eCommerce isn't my problem boss, but I've got a service site I developed for local anglers, rafters or sailors that I can get done... I suppose I should just release that and see if it flows.

A therapy, a psychologist, a psychiatrist can help with that too. Worked for me. Not feeling like a misery anymore.

Thanks bro, gonna ring up tomorrow...

I know it’s scary, but sometimes taking a break is actually a good thing.

That being said, i haven’t really taken a long break in 2 years.

But that also may be worth considering.

Chin up boss.

Not everyone is the same. Many of us suffer from chemical imbalances, some nasty stuff from the past.
Some people wind themselves up in some criminal scenarions and struggle for decades.

Normal people take a 2 day long break (it's called weekend) and return back to normal. If it doesn't happen, this should be a sign something is going wrong.
And I'm not saying feeling overwhelmed is wrong. It's just that feeling overwhelmed for too long makes it impossible to function.

Gonna get that post tattooed across my forehead, living it for real dawg

You just gotta roll with it and take the setbacks as a routine - I am used to it, setbacks are like a hobby of mine.

I also possess the power of the old fecal touch - Plenty of IM projects and methods die in a minute I start with them.

Another try, I'll try again.

I just ran on hunger, being poor and choiceless when I was trying to make something, and momentum kicked in pretty much from the start.

Then I made something, and I kept running on the same things to keep going, also momentum.

But then I got comfortable with large customers, got too deep working in my business versus working on my business. I got comfortable, in a comfort zone.

And now I just run on momentum. It's not gonna last forever, but fuck it. I've already exceeded my conservative expectations, so I'm good.

Momentum. I think momentum is the main thing. It's like running. Even if you decide to stop you don't just freeze in place, it takes a while to stop, and as you're stopping (bad day) you can decide at any time to keep going full speed (the next day).

Yeah, momentum is my answer :)

Real work is hard to quit. Indeed.
But if you look closely, one may have an issue to do it.
Of course the goal is to make your tasks as easy as possible.
But you need your body to work to your advantage which isn't always that simple.

Your health will affect what you can do, definitely.

But assuming you're in good health, everything else is mental.

You can do what I did. Move to a different city where you don't know anyone. Then lock yourself in a room and work every minute of every day, and do it for 8 years.

No one will call you, no one will knock on your door, there will be no distractions. Even the people you talk to via social media and stuff will slowly drift away as you're simply not there, anywhere. You can just work away.

But I think a good "why" is necessary here. If you're doing it to get the fancy car or whatever, may not hold you to it.

So many setbacks and constant problems there is no time to think about burnout, Just keep fixing and pushing

And you know what they say, if you've got time to whine you've got time to shine babeh
