Set up multisite or authority site: what ranks best in Google

Hello everyone,

I have a niche site with probably 1000 visitors a month. Makes a few bucks a day. Now I thought of the following because I want to join another niche:

Instead of creating a new site, rank with this site in another niche (because it's in the same category)
What can I do?

1. Create subdomains for each niche using multisite network in Wordpress
2. Make it an authority site instead of niche site

Another question for solution 1: How does Google rank these network sites? Will it be ranked as a site on his own, because it's using his own theme and own map on my database?

I have no experience with multi sites so if you know something about it let me now

Google treat a sub-domain as a new site. You still get some authority from your root domain tho but it ain't much

Nice! i didnt know they like sub-domains if the site has authority good info here.

Option 2 sounds good to me. Keep building high quality content and links to your site.
