Service's on BHW Just Keep Getting Cheaper and Cheaper [PROBLEM]

I have bought my share of services on here with little results most of the time. Definitely not in line with what the reviews say. I think there are alot of suspect reviews from other sellers and from the suspect people who never contribute to anything except to say how good this or that service has worked for them and how they will be ordering more. I dont mind spending alot of money...for something that works but at this point I have no idea on who to use anymore. If I could find one seller or service that would work well for my low comp offline business hell I would hire them on a monthly basis...Im still looking for that person. Although I think I might have found him...hopefully. Yes I think there needs to be something done...

Mods authorize the services. If a mod thinks its crap they won't authorize it. Quality assurance #1.

People buy and give reviews on the services. If the services provided suck, they post negative reviews. Quality assurance #2.

There's no such thing as copycat services. If you're a BST vendor and you think you invented a type of backlink, or that your balance of different types of backlinks into a certain magic formula link pyramid that only you could have figured out ... you need to get over yourself.

BHW isn't a good ol' boys club of old fart members circle jerking each other's sales threads, (a la warrior forum). BST vendors have to continually offer better service, better links at better prices, or risk losing your sales to someone who will work harder and do a better job. Yes, dealing with competition sucks but that's life.

Well, you are on a marketing forum, so market your services accordingly. The results should speak for themselves, use quality testimonials, etc. When someone reads amazing testimonials there wallet isn't too far from their hand.

There will always be cheap services, expensive services, quality services, and crap services.

There's a reason why some threads have thousands of responses with hundreds of positive reviews. They aren't in business just because they have a better sales page or are undercutting other services.. they are in business cause they meet the market demand and cater to the needs of the consumer.

What your suggesting is to limit the ease of entering/exiting the market or set a minimum price.

The very thing that ensures quality is the free will for anyone to enter or exit the market. Limiting new services from entering or setting a minimum price, believe or not, actually reduces the quality of services in the long run.

Reasoning: Many services may come through, but only the services that customers actually want/need will sustain themselves (users can easily report a service or give it a terrible review). In other words, the good services stay and gain reputation, while the bad services, albeit temporary, go away eventually.

Now if you're saying that the services with excellent reviews and thousands of replies should be removed because they are competitively priced, then you should reconsider your business model instead of complaining about capitalism.

Not trying to be rude. My services are undercut as well. But I'm saying this system rewards quality services and benefits the consumer by allowing new services to replace old/poor quality ones.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: People. Need. To. Leave. Real. Reviews.

That's the only thing that can separate the good/reputable sellers and the bad ones. Sometimes I browse through a service thread and see dozens and dozens of orders, and maybe a hand full of reviews (some of which scream fake, too).

REVIEW THE SERVICES YOU BUY.

I dunno about that. I bought services that had hundreds of replies and alot of testimonials and alot of them didnt even budge my site.

Me too and I'm too new to put someone on blast about their crap service.

Sorry but I don't agree with you OP. There are many people who cant afford to pay high prices for some services. So its fair enough to have both low and high prices and let the buyer decide what to buy. can you imagine the Market only with high prices services? Well. means there's no more competition? Hello! Just my 2 cents.

I am not really sure what the problem is here. I have bought a ton of stuff from the BST section and have had great results. Bottom line: Do not buy shit if you do not want shit results. Do your research, take the time to ask some questions or add the sellers on skype. This is all basic common sense.

BST are as safe and hones a they can get. Mods are doing a good job and the system is setup in such a way to protect buyers as much as possible. That doesnt mean a buyer can't feel scammed at some point. This isnt the fault of the forum, BST system or particular BST offer but of the buyer and occurs when the buyer doesn't do the proper research.

Certain types of services when done in a certain way or combination can be fatal for a site. When done right can help it rank. It is your job as a buyer to know what you need, why you need it and what is good for you. You can not expect a BST seller to spend 5 hours analyzing your site to figure out if his service will be safe or useful for you in the context of your particular site.

To give an example, I successfully use very low quality links. But I know how to use them, in what amount, at what velocity, etc. If I'd just build 10000 crappy links in one go for a 1 day old site that has 3 pages and looks spammy I can't really expect good results, can I?

So as a buyer stop blaming others for you being lazy, not knowing SEO and not doing the proper analysis and research.

Only way from my point of view for a BST to be considered scam is if the seller states he will provide something and he doesn't. A seller saying his service is awesome and all that doesn't mean you have to be so naive to assume it is awesome used in any situation and on any site. They may have to fluff-up their offer - it is called marketing. When Gilette has a TV ad saying "shaving gel 50% more effective" you believe that? Over a period of 10 years Gilette's gel would mathematically reach 10000% more effectiveness compared to 1st version. Do you go and sue Gilette for the gel not being 10000% more effective?

Learn what you need, why and how to use it! A BST is no substitute for knowledge and is not a magic button you press to push your site to #1. Also sometimes a service might work just fine for a low keyword like "how to shave sideburns using a straight razor" but offer no visible improvement for "health insurance" which is a high competition keyword. Just because there's no visible improvement doesn't mean there's no improvement at all. You can't just use a service and rank for everything. Every idiot would just order services to rank. You need strategy, know-how, etc. For most practical medium and high competition SEO, you would have to use several different services and order a bunch of them for various websites that are used as satellites in a network, then order some other pointing to the 1st ones, etc.

Also, its no brainier a service that costs $50 will not get you to rank #1 for a keyword that brings $500/mo. It just doesn't happen in the real world, because you have competition, you're not by your own in an empty SERP page. If it would work they'd just run it on their own sites instead of offering a service to clients. And/or your competitors can use similar services as well.

Buying a service or outsourcing is no substitute for knowledge and skill. You either understand this and work with it and be successful, or you are stubbornly opposing it and will always fail and whine and blame everybody except yourself.

Am I saying all BST are great? Not at all. I think some are jokes but that is my opinion. Any moment somebody could come and prove me he used one and it worked for him. A long time ago people did link directory submissions. Then it didn't worked. Several years later nobody was doing it. I started doing it and it worked. I did use a very specific strategy and not just link directory links but the point is it worked well as a component of a more complex system. Every person I told this to said "link directories? gtfo! they don't work, everybody knows. I'm not wasting time with this crap". But they never even tried. And even if they don't work they exist because there's a demand for them from unskilled people. That doesn't mean they're scammers, it means the people who demand them and think the method works are lazy and unskilled.

Would you pay $4000 for a BST? Didn't thought so. That's what a long term SEO campaign for a good keyword would cost you in reality. But many of you are so naive that you think "I'm gonna order a $15 BST and rank for this big keyword and make $20000/year".

Get real!

It is a Marketplace, and like all marketplaces, it has
various products/services, various prices, and various
degrees of quality. As a wise shopper, you should
be able to determine which products & services are
best for you.

I'm not saying all services are bad here I'm just saying sometime the sales threads are misleading and I believe so are some of the reviews . I have stuck up for a couple of providers I got good service from when I noticed a buyer bashing them when their content empty amazon site didnt move from a 5 $ link wheel 3 days after the order or whatever . If a Service is provided as described and my site didnt move its not the seller fault .... Too many other variables

Exactly correct, BHW is gonna be like a Fiverr now. I saw last couple of month bunch of new threads was approved and price was crappy cheap than old threads. So in my opinion BHW quality is going down now.

The main point is we had to open Damn cheap thread too :'( btw I suggest, It's time to modify BHW BST rules again to keep the quality of BHW

Edit:

I changed this post for several reasons. One is I am not a BST seller nor am I affiliated with the owner or staff. As a member
I enjoy this community and hope any advice helps people. It is not my place to say one way or the other. People who pay to be on
the BST can voice their situation or opinions and Staff can respond as they have. :)

All I can say is it is funny how people who hate Penguin, Panda and Matt want this level of protection for quality content on the
BST..

Cheers,
Unclemike

Not in reply to any of the posts just sharing my thoughts

Not all million members here are of same thoughts each of us are unique as wiz stated its buyer's who have to be careful in purchasing services and guidelines are laid out as sticky in the BST section, members can grasp that to get a fair knowledge before trying something.Only thing is you don't get scammed and as a buyer if you don't find the service useful go ahead post your review in the respective thread so that sellers will get a chance to improve the quality of their services.SEO is all about diversity no matters who offers it and at what price imo i will suggest members here not only to diversify your backlinks profile but also your service providers to get better results.

Let's look at a business solution as opposed to comments that may or may not solve the problems in the BST Section...

What about service rotation like cap the section to a fixed number of threads - example 1000 - that have a shelf life before they expire - maybe they run for 3 months - 6 months - 12 months et al

This is not off the wall thinking when most experienced IM folks know that many BST services are obsolete after a short period of time as they are no longer technically capable of delivering the service...

BST Service rotation would be effective - keeping all the services current all valid but at same time dropping the ones that are past the sell by date.... because they are obsolete - no longer working et al

You only see a handful of service's that are overpriced and they're overpriced for a reason either because they're unique or they get super results.

This isn't good logic. So i sell you an apple for $2million and your convinced the reason you bought it for that much is cus its some kind of super apple ? LOL. Let me tell you another reason people overprice things... too MAKE MONEY.

Surely the way to distinguish the good services from the bad is too READ the descriptions, if a $40 is genuinley worth 8 times more than $5 service then you will have more selling points no ? You will have a stronger pitch ? You will be able to compare the things your product can do the cheaper one cannot ? come one this is basic marketing.

Theres some service providers that have continually offered good products to the marketplace....they generally get rewarded by repeat custom.

Theres some great cheapy link packages available here that serve there purpose ie...they are strictly web 2.0 boosters and should go nowhere near your main site...People that have been involved in SEO for a while generally know what they are looking for. You could argue that BSTs could come with a recommended useage warning so new guys wont go spending $20 on three low rent services and see no results but thats a flawed argument, this is after all a forum for advanced Internet Marketers if you dont know shit from shinola then head back to Fiverr.

The market is driven by the customer. If people are unhappy with a service they should be on the thread explaining why. If you are buying a service long term then you should be updating your results on the thread for all to see. When word gets around that the crowd on BHW are pretty easy and generally only post a "got the report in 24hrs" type review and then dont show their faces again, well then you encourage providers with a short term vision.

theres too much overpriced junk on here, specially when it comes to facebook fans, unless there niche target fans then there isnt no difference to any other real fans
