Service for finding persons running a website?

Does anybody know a service, hacker or whatever who knows how to find out the persons behind a website or domain when the whois is private or fake? I once spoke with someone who claimed private whois is no protection at all since other registrars and others can see it anyway because of some technical facts about it. And and in the light of snowden's revelations it sounds very possible that some of the contractor companies that work for the NSA, have employees that might use their unrestricted power to check things out too.

Does someone know such a person or can guide me in the right direction?

No kidnapping. I did a a stupid error by trusting a website i should not trust. I would like to speak with the owners about the problem at least since they stopped communicating.

I wrote here because i once wrote with someone. I dont remember if it was here on BHW or on a domainer forum. The user claimed that every big registrar can see the real user behind a private whois because there is some rule to add the real owners data somewhere at ICANN? or something. I dont remember really much about it anymore. He only mentioned that he never got a website where he could not find the persons behind.
 
Its bullshit the only people that can see who is behind it is the service providing the whois privacy protection.
 
Then probably i remember wrong what he meant. Though i now found the member on here. Ill see if he can help.

"STKMKTFTGRU" is right in these case you can extract information regarding the website behind te WHOIS private protection if you have a legal notice or a hacker is helping you out.
 
Reputable whois protection services usually have a AUP and if it's violated they can unshield the whois information.

If you've been scammed file a complaint with the provider and who knows maybe they'll remove it.
 
I have never not been able to trace the owner of a website. It could be easy or hard, depends on situation. Are you looking for a free solution? Because I can do it myself for a (reasonable) price, or I can give you some pointers free. Only reason I'd even charge is because it could possibly take a day or two at worst, but I could tell beforehand with a short consultation. PM me if interested.
 
Also, you should know that your site in question could possibly be traced to an overseas source where retaliation wouldn't really be possible...

PS not shitting on what anyone is saying here but I have traced sources online for years, whois is far from the only way, sorry. Unless you have never been on the internet before in your life, never left records in your life or made friends with anyone who did and registered your first domain today using all novel material then I'm gonna be able to figure it out. lol.

There seems to be more ways than only the domain hosting. Many more. It probably works because people think like VPN + Bulletproof hosting and im fine. Good for me.

But it looks like i have to ask again on here. Anybody knows what im speaking about and has the capability? It seems to be hard to find a hacker for hire. The websites that claim to do so are either scams or plain stupid in their setup. On hackboards such questions are rewarded with a kick.

If someone can help or give me a link where to got then i would be happy.
