Server Experts need your advice...

Ok so I notice my server is running slow the last day or so. I check the bandwidth usage and sure enough its spiked at 100Mb/s my connection speed limit. I look on Google analytics realtime and notice about 60 people on my streaming tube site. I check the with server hosting company and they say they see 247 different ip addresses are connected. They do tell me they do not think its a ddos attack. My server is very fast 32GB RAM 6 cores so its good. And the cpu usage during this whole thing was only 6%.

So what is going on?
Should I upgrade to 1Gb/s connection?
Is it possible that lots of people are trying to download my videos or something?

Very hard to say, what are you using to stream/encode the videos? most likely you're right about this:

Ask if they offer a trial to see if the problem goes away.

RTMP streaming for all videos. Also I do not allow downloads but I know their is ways around this.
