Found a small niche earlier today, but what puzzles me is the fact that the first 2 Google pages are stuffed with .edu results. Even the wikipedia page is on the bottom of the second page for that keyword. The KW itself generates less than 1 mil results (98k allintitle, 54k allinurl) and has a somewhat high CPC.

My question : Are those edu's so hard to beat?

Did you analyze the .EDU's to see what kind of backlinks they were using?

Yeah I did. The domains from which they come are pretty steady, but the url backlinks do not exceed 100. Most of them have less than 15 bl.

I've thrown a Y. Answers targeted question, going to watch it rank or not...

I am kinda new to this, so forgive my lack of knowledge and thank you for your answers :)
