In the SERP results, how do you edit your wordpress code so that it shows the time stamp of the most most recent time you updated your post.

For example, I wrote a post in 2011 but made some heavy edits in 2013. I want it to show the 2013 date in Google. How do I do that?

What code do I need to add to make it happen?

Thanks

Hobokook,

Not sure what "time stamp" means to you but if you are referring to the date in SERPs, you could try resubmitting the page via WMT for Google to re-crawl.

Google is notorious for taking a while to update its search results so I wouldn't expect it to happen in a day or anything.

You can request removal of a cached version of a page however I would recommend not doing that as it will screw up your rankings for that particular page.
