Serp differences depening on SE-language

Hello there,

I am operating from germany and trying to rank a german website in german g00gle.
Funnily though my website ranks on page 1 and 2 when I search it via the american g00gle, when I search it via the german g00gle though it's somewhere on page 6,7 or even worse.

The website does not yet have all too much content, but everything on there is german. And it's also specifically for a town in germany (even having the towns name in the domain). Does anyone know why excactly it ranks far better in america than it does in germany?

Might the american google somewhat be an indicator? I secretly hope for this one to be true

maybe because the searches comes in u.s and not in germany. along with the traffic.

Where do your backlinks come from ?

Are they from US-IPs or sites with english content ?

mhmm, good idea. According to my google webmaster account there are only 5 sites linking to my page, all of them are english.

Guess I'll simply have to wait until my german backlinks get indexed...

How old is your website?

It's a .de domain, I already created several german backlinks, didn't get them indexed yet though... the website is... roughly 3 months old
