    Hey everyone,

I don't know if this is the right forum to post this, but I am completely exhausted promoting my site. I just don't have the energy anymore

    The Background :
I run a guitar site called shredthisway (just G for it you'll find it) .It's been online since 2009, earlier it used to be in blogger, however this year I decided to get a domain name on new year. But ever since then things just went downwards. All my backlinks which were going to my blogger page have disappeared as the domain name changed. My site is almost inexistent in G 's eyes after the change. I have absolutely no idea what to do.

The sad state that is now :
Now the site is getting around 100 visitors a day, that too mostly from referral through stumble upon or facebook or forums. I don't know what to do with backlinks or other SEO. I am an absolute NoOB when it comes to SEO. I have tried putting comments in other people's blogs and in forums but nothing seems to work. I only know about guitar playing, it was always my dream to build a site where I can post whatever I want about guitars and just keep posting rather than worying about SEO.
Initially when I started it, it was just about guitars. Now, it seems as though I am spending more time trying to promote the site than to actually write something meaningful for my readers. I don't think I am doing justice to the site.

    I need your help :
I keep seeing in the site that people are being super generous and giving away a lot of stuff. So, here's what I ask you.
Can someone please help me promote the site. I don't have any fancy softwares to build 1000s of backlinks, even if I had I doubt I'd know how to use it. Right now back links seem to be the major problem, can someone help me out with this.

, Another major issue I have is with my facebook page. I recently started a giveaway in my site but no one seems to care. All they had to do was like my facebook page. I need more likes to attract new people to like it. Can someone get me some likes for facebook. My page is called "Shredthisway" - Musical Instruments

I know I am asking for lots, but you guys seem to have a lot of softwares to build backlinks and stuff. So, can someone spare some time and help me promote my site. Would be very grateful to anyone who is willing to help.

    Thanks

I checked out your fan page and noticed that you are not getting any likes or comments on your updates. Getting likes, comments, and shares
on your updates is the only "natural" way to grow your page because everytime someone likes, comments, or shares then they are advertising your page to their friends.

It's been proven that people are more likely to like photos more then anything. I would suggest adding quality photos to your wall every few
days for people to click like on. Maybe some nice looking guitar pics or something. Just make sure they are quality pics and the likes will come.

    Good luck

I liked your face book page for you, One of the biggest obstetrical for a website owner is to have a highly effective landing page. If you don't know what I mean by this think of your bookmarks in your web browser, what made you bookmark those site, for me it is usually a great looking site coupled with useful content, that I will need in the future. One of the easiest types of visitors that you can get are return visitors, people will want to come back to your site if it has useful information everyday. also be careful not to have to many affiliate links on your site if you are going to monetize your site you have to make sure that it is not a thin affiliate site. A thin affiliate site is a site with not much content and to many affiliate links I visited your site and this could be the reason that you are having a problem ranking, I made the same mistake " And Got The Google Slap" it took me three months after the removal of the links to rank. I will PM you a great why to to build links easy.

I've got a custom hp special (purple pearloid) my guitar is actually on that rocknrollweekend site, bought it in from the US and discovered the serial was the same.Cost a bit and I still can't play lol.

Anyway back on topic, you have way too many outbound links on the homepage,
check your site on www.seocentro.com use the meta tags check. You've got your affil links right in the content near the top,not good.Thin down the home page affil links(you have 163 obl's on the home page!!) and create snazzy pics to take them to another page and place the links there.Pops ups on other pages, ads need to be toned down, try linking to fender and peavey etc to add some authority.
