I'm no noob but would like to expand into CB, using my expertise in YT and a variety of tools (Scrapebox, etc.). I have read through a number of journey threads in which people say they choose long-tailed keywords, create videos and sell 3 or so related CB products. I'll be darned if I can find one decent CB product. I look through all the affiliate tools and the sales page, because I don't have it in me to sell s**t that has a pretty little bow that distracts. The CB stuff is typically full of misspellings, bad information or completely lacks any depth in information. Am I missing something? If I believe something has value, I can sell it, no problem. I can't find crap on CB that is worth 10 cents and believe me, i've looked through ALL the categories. I don't want to develop a product just yet because I want to become more adept at helping someone else sell their product. There are products I love but none on CB. I'm at my wits end here, anyone have advice???

This question is extremely relevant to me, I've only been able to find two products on clickbank that I think are worth my time and the person whom will be buying it's time. The main reason for this being the final sales page is always HORRENDOUSLY poor as OP has stated.
Hopefully someone can shed some light here, maybe we are both missing something.

Not really - but I agree CB stuff is overpriced crap which is often useless as well.

You aren't alone in those thoughts :)

1% of the traffic always converts - thats a universal rule. If you find a good ClickBank landing page 4%-8% will convert.

That's interesting and a little sad to think that that many people will fall for those (mostly) lousy sales pages and pitches. Imagine the conversions if your product page, support and copy were high quality.

I have to say 100% agree. CB is full of utter 'bs', and the landing pages which any affiliate link you get leads to are shocking.

Its a shame as I believe it to be a very good platform. Being able to create your own landing page for the affiliate link and then straight to checkout would be a bonus, but then do you really want to be selling the product ?

Creating your own product, which you believe to hold value and creating your own landing page may be the way forward.

'Coffee Shop Millionaire' is one which I've seen of late which actually seems to have an edge of quality about it, not sure what the product itself is like. But a well executed promotion for there product.

Just look harder. Once in a while, you'll find those rare CB products which actually have a professional looking landing page. One product I'm promoting now has such a good page, that I swear if I came across it just surfing the web, I wouldn't know it was a Clickbank product until I went to the payment page.

And I don't mean to imply that all products are crap because their lander or copy is crap. Some products probably are decent for people who need basic information. If however, you can't put forth effort to make something high quality, why the hell would I spend money on your product. Maybe I don't buy based on the same criteria as people who buy CB products?

I know you guys aren't going to believe this but those "crap" landing pages sell.
You are looking at it from the point of an internet marketer not the point of like your wife or your mom. I speak from definite experience.

At one point I was selling a ton of the Stop your Stuttering product on Clickbank. I was using Yahoo / Bing ppc to drive traffic. Then I got flagged because there was an exit pop-up. No problem. I would just create my own website and link it to the check out. Mine would be super clean and much better then that crap landing page. I have someone create this page: http://stopthestuttering.net/

It looks good but converted far less. The crappy landing page converted 5 times to 1 all on the same traffic. I would set up a redirect to test it out. In2 weeks I would sell only 1 or 2 with the new page. When I redirect it to the clickbank page, I would sell 10 in the same period.

Those pages work. Truth about abs is a good example. They led with the whole white board thing that everyone is doing. If the gravity is high, the owner has typically sunk a lot of money testing his lander. Don't let crappy pages scare you off, you are not the customer.....

Good Luck
