The answer to whether or not the Earth is flat, solely depends on which simulation you're in.
Currently, you're comfortably asleep in your pod, and this world only exists as a simulation for your avatar that connects to the Global IPv12 of this universe.
In your other simulations, you may not even live on Earth.
For example, in my previous simulation, I lived on a planet that this simulation of "earthlings" refer to as Kepler-22b, which is some 587.1 light years away.
This was my home planet:
And yes, it was round.
We had trees, oceans, grass, hills, mountains, oxygen, and all the stuff this Earth simulation provides.
So you've got to think bigger than simply whether or not your SIM-planet is round. That's probably why this simulation hasn't discovered time travel or the practical use-cases for dark matter, yet.
We'll get there.
