Hey BHW, I got into IM around 2 years ago, but I still haven't created a stable income stream. I can probably blame my own impatience for this - I usually give up on a method before it even reaches its full earning potential. I also want to thank BHW for providing me with a lot of info and motivation to push through with my IM "career", if one can call it that.


Deadline: December 25
Why? There's really not much significance with the date, I would just like to set a deadline. So that would be around 4 months from now. I also plan to update the journey everyday even if there's nothing noteworthy. Good luck to me!

Current Shizz

1. I have current SEO client that's earning me about $200 every month. But that might go away soon; I can't focus on my client's website because I'm working on my thesis. -_-
2. I'm reselling social media services from BHW to another local freelancing website (think Fiverr). I earn $70 this month which is decent considering I live here in South East Asia.
3. I'm waiting for an Amazon website to rank on the first page. All SEO has been outsourced here and have just finished. Hopefully it will have significant rank increases after 2-3 weeks

-All in all I have $270 for the month of August. Let's see how I fare this September.

Plans

Amazon Site
Since I'm still waiting for my Amazon site to rank and bank (hopefully it does), I'm planning to outsource article writing to some high school or college students. I just posted a Wanted:Writer sign today on place where students frequently pass, so there's a pretty good chance that someone will apply. I will probably outsource 30 more articles, each targeting long tail keywords.

Social Media Services
I'm shifting my focus on reselling social media services. The demand for Facebook likes are pretty good nowadays. And since I'm a pioneer seller on said local freelancing site, I got a headstart on sales and those sales have ranked me well within the site. However, the traffic is pretty low so I get about 5 orders per week. I plan to increase that with some offline efforts. I plan to go back to the good ol method - giving out fliers. My target: high school and college students.

1. I'll print around 100 copies of advertisements and I'll pay another student to distribute those
2. I also plan to hold a contest. Contestants would just enter their name and number, and they will get a chance to win 1,000 Facebook likes or prepaid cellphone load. I plan to do this just so I can add them on Facebook and market through mobile.

Cost/Benefit for August 28
Revenue:$0
Expenses: $0.22 (for printing of wanted sign)
Net Income: -$0.22

+1 do that. I'm just going for SEO articles my Amazon site anyway, so high school/college grammar is good enough.

UPDATE:

My wanted sign is getting noticed now. My sister told me (she runs a laundry shop, so I posted one sign on her shop), that a couple of girls got my number. I'm just waiting for their text messages now. Hope they're good looking too.

Regarding my Amazon site, I also plan to wait for 30 days before purchasing a blog network. I want to build one of my own using Nick Flames method but $275 is still out of my budget. Will probably purchase a PBN package on BHW. Any recommendations? Lastly, I'm seeing major increases in the number of impressions. I'm at 210 impressions now.

Yup, after 2 years. Quite embarrassing actually. But I know why I haven't made it yet, so I got that going for me.

I am currently focusing on two methods but they're not happening simultaneously. While I'm waiting for my Amazon to rank and bank, I'll be pursuing this social media reselling thingy.

UPDATE!

SEO Business: I've just checked my client's website stats and the results are encouraging. The main keywords we're trying to rank for are already on the second page. I think I'll have them as clients for another month.

Amazon Site: Nothing much really. Except that from 210 impressions, my site now only has 192. Nothing to worry about though. I'm still waiting for the links to be indexed.

Wanted Sign: The wanted sign is effective immediately. I got two text messages from 2 girls - one's a math major and the other is a writing major. Of course I went for the writing major. We're still haggling with the price, but really, the price is as cheap as I can get. She's also running her own writing business catering to students' writing needs so I plan to tie up her business with mine.

Reselling Social Signals: I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I made a little profit today. The bad news is that the social media panel I'm receiving is experiencing a major downtime today. Booo.

Plans:

• Finish SEO Report for client
• Purchase 10 articles from writer by Monday
• Hire someone to distribute flyers for social signals reselling
• I also plan to PM every Facebook likes customer I had business with and upsell some of my SEO services.

Cost/Benefit:

Expenses: $1.4 (Cost of social signals)
Net Profit: $2.1

Two freakin' dollars! Hurray! -_- Profit is profit though.

SEO Business: Nothing much. Just planning to outsource the blog marketing aspect of the campaign. I also got a one-time client for around $15. It's just a cheap link pyramid.

Amazon Site: Nothing much yet. Same old, same old. Will probably purchase 10 articles to my student part-timer.

Reselling Social Signals: Sold 1 gig today for $3.5. Yey!

• Start report for SEO client
• Start campaign for one-time client
• Hire someone to distribute flyers for social signals reselling.
• PM at least 5 people from facebook and try to sell social media or SEO packages.

I'm also creating milestones. I'll cross out a goal if I'm earning that amount for at least a week.
