Ever felt like you were stuck within your ideas, your dreams, your goals? If you have how did you get out of it? How do you keep yourself moving forward?

I know it's going to be easy to say that all you did was make the first step but before then what was the mindset, the thought, the fuck it moment that got you pushing forward to live and fight for what YOU wanted out of this life?

Great question. I will repeat my post I wrote in my thread yesterday:

I have a clear idea of what I need the money for. Largely it's about exploring the harsh faraway lands. Already done some good travelling in the past, but I have a bad hunger for more. And that more costs huge amounts of money. But one has to start somewhere... So I constantly remind myself what I'm working for. I also try some negative motivation - I think of working some boring job...

Some books inspire me a lot as well. Not some fucking new agey deepity trash like the Secret or Think and Grow Rich. They are the literature equivalent of WSO, intended for the weak-minded who cannot think for themselves.

Instead, I read real stories about human willpower, determination and thirst for knowledge. I would recommend "We Die Alone: A WWII Epic of Escape and Endurance". Whenever I think my life isn't quite what I want, I think of Jan (the guy in the story) and I see that all my everyday struggles are utterly trivial compared to what Jan had to endure. Whenever I lack willpower and determination, I think of Jan and realize that if I wanted something as bad as he wanted to survive, I could do just about anything.

Just don't force anything... if you feel that your stuck take some time to think, rest your body and mind, clear your minds and motivation to keep going will come and you'll know when it comes... If you force to move on you can end up hating the work you do, especially if its not bringing results and that would be longtime damage...

Its either you're going to do it or not and no one gives a fuck. Less competition the better.

I keep moving forward by making plans and goals. Within those goals are milestones that when I reach ensures me that I am not "stuck" anywhere. I, myself, have never really felt stuck. It all boils down to patience and not keeping all of your eggs in one basket. You should be throwing out nets in every direction. An example being working a youtube method, while having a site or three you're trying to rank, while monetizing one with adsense, one with say click bank, and another with selling adspace from the traffic.

The multiple goals and milestones inside of multiple projects will keep a person moving forward. The reason most people in internet marketing are successful is because they said "Fuck it, I'm gonna try this". Trial and error, mate.

Easy: goal-setting. Include both short-term and long term goals.

I have a goal of what I want to achieve in 10 years, a smaller one of what I need to achieve by the end of this year to be on track for the 10 year goal, another smaller one by the end of next month, and another smaller one for the end of this week... Without specific, time-frame goals, you won't get anywhere.

It happens to even the best of us, take a break. Relax a little bit and get back into the process of planning at some point - just make sure you've got some "me time" available.

Work is work, life is life; you've got to keep the two somewhat separated.

Write down your goals from the top and then analyze each goal thoroughly, take your time, you won't get to where you want to be immediately.

thank you all for your responses. I am putting pieces of everyone's reply to form something that will get me out of this feeling but each time I hang back a little I feel like I am failing myself and i go back to working on my projects some more. Seriously thank you all again.

@rees9 I have stumbled across this book a long time ago and i skipped it for "the art of war by Sun Tsu". I will give it a read once I am done with my current book.

@xlcrash this really hit home man. I am really hungry for success and knowledge. I often find myself waking up in the middle of the night thinking of what to do next, what to learn next, what can I get done next for my projects. lately i have been waking up to a different feeling, I feel burnt out.

Im checking peples jurnals, its the best motivation for me, when i see "15yo kid from 0 to 100$ day" it makes me more motivated to work, if anyone can do this so i can tho

The bank telling me I"ll be homeless in 30 days if I don't get my shit together is a great motivator.

If you ever ever ever find yourself homeless just get a ticket to manchester airport and I will pick you up.

We can do 12 hour shifts to make sure the Lounge is being trolled properly 24/7.

OP, I recently have been going through some sort of quarter life crisis where I was/am at least a little bit depressed.

I didn't know what I wanted to do, what made me happy, what to change to change things... It was a bit of a pain to be honest. A proper ball ache.

Looking at it more and more I can see I was over worked, stressed, I needed new friends, I needed to avoid and cut off family members.

I sent a couple of facebook messages to a few guys I knew from college and met them in town for beer and drugs. I saw a girl I knew in college ans sat next to for 2 years but never really spoke to and we realised we should have started talking way earlier, shes very nice and I'm totally gay for her. She's special.

I've not seen my old/usual friends in 3 weeks now, only 1 has bothered to reach and ask what's up out of 7 of them. Fuck them.

My toxic family members have also been cut out my life, I have no issues with seeing them at christmas or funerals (hopefully each others) but that's going to be it. They are fucking leaches and love to put people down for no reason.

And in 7 days I leave my job of 2 years because working 6 days a fucking week and having 2 days off in all my time with them is fucking stupid. Fuck that again.

After that I honestly don't know what the fuck I am going to do other than continue to build CGKWs and develop an affiliate empire... and the best bit is I don't fucking care.

I'm no longer going to be dragged down or slowed down by people who use me and jobs I hate.

I'm going to do whatever the fuck I want to do, and that's just the way it will be.

Look at your life and cut out all the bullshit, nothing will change if you don't change. It's not easy, it will be tough but it's meant to be but it will free up so much time, energy and emotion for the things you find important like goals and happiness.

There is a book called "Fuck It, The Ultimate Spiritual Way". I don't remember who wrote it. Very good stuff to start with when you find you are overwhelmed. Also, everyone has probably seen the video called "Why we Fall" on Youtube. The guy that made it makes a bunch of videos that I like to watch whenever I start feeling unmotivated. His name is Mateusz M on Youtube. May I also suggest that if you are seriously depressed that you seek some help from a professional third party. At very least find a person that you can completely trust to talk to and bounce ideas off of. I find working with other people usually helps me a great deal. That's especially true when trying to help others. Find something someone needs and see if you can help them with it, for no other reason than to help that person.

If you feel like this you're not doing the right thing, try other hobbies and/or work.
