I need some serious advice guys.

I'm all new to this SEO stuff, but not new to computer hardware/networking. I'm going for a degree in CIS right now and I'm almost through my 2nd year.

Not going to tell you my life story, but student loans are coming soon and I'd like to have a bit of cash flow coming in through something like this.

I know this isn't something you do overnight and make $5k a month (which I've read some have done here) but right now off of YT videos, I'm bringing in about $1 a day, but I'd like to expand it to blogs/websites, etc.

I wouldn't mind using BlackHat tactics, but I want to strictly stay WH for the long haul instead of making a few quick bucks.

PLEASE, can experienced users here give me advice where to start off!

I want to take this slow and cool, I'm willing to invest around $200 right now into hosting and such.

I'm looking into contributing here to if I end up successful and becoming a donor as well.

Thanks in advance,
- Marko

This is the right way to go about it. Blackhat methods are good when you have a long term business idea that requires some startup capital but they're not very good long term. Do something blackhat and invest the money in your long term plan.

You're on a limited budget so I suggest that you create affiliate sites and do SEO to rank them in google. Focus on promoting digital products such as software or ebooks instead of physical products.

The percentage you get for digital products is much higher than the one you get for physical products because there's no manufacturing cost.

So instead of promoting an amazon product and getting 8%, you can promote the ebook Truth About Abs and get 75%.

Become a member of clickbank.com and regnow.com. I especially like Regnow as it has thousands upon thousands of software that you can promote.

Spend a couple of weeks just reading here. You'll answer all of the questions you have and then some. You'll also save yourself a lot of that $200 you are so quick to "invest"...

Thanks! I'll look into the promotion type things.

BTW, affiliate sites are what exactly? (sorry the noob in me had to)

You're an affiliate whenever you get a percentage of the sales you drive to another persons product. An affiliate site is a site with one purpose - to get you as many affiliate commissions as possible. A popular and quite effective way of getting sales is to write product reviews.

Yeah I guessed so, I'll take a look into that, thanks so much GimmeMoney, a lot of great advice buddy! :):):)

Honestly, the only way you will figure this out is if you start working for someone who is already successful in what you want to do. Reach out to people and keep reaching out until someone is convinced you will be useful and is willing to help you. From there on don't screw up and do more than what they ask. You will be golden. Otherwise you can get lost in all this mess. Cheers !

Do some keyword research, take $7.67 get a .com keyword rich domain (doesn't HAVE to be exact match, just have your keywords in it ... fan3 coupon code at godaddy will give you that price for the domain), go to hostgator and use redhothostgator as coupon for baby package and it will cost you 1 cent for the first month. Spend $12-$15 on 5 300-400 word unique articles based on your keywords, the get some gigs at fiverr recommended here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/387391-so-i-went-fiverr-spree-check-out.html

Then, rinse and repeat. Oh, dont forget to promote products or place adsense on your sites. :) Good luck.
