Yes, I read yesterday. The point is that as of yesterday, at least in Europe (I don't know how it works in America) people go back to work after the vacations, children go back to school after the vacations. In many niches it is normal to see a drop in visits because of this. Since I read the news of yesterday's update I can't stop thinking whether the choice to release the update on this date is random or intentional

Seems to be a lot of people thinking this is just that. The last one didn't achieve what they wanted so they now bring this one out to clear up the after effects of the previous one.
These aren't related mate that I can see.

Google is broken, who fxxking care, actually, it updates every single day, we should not care about it anymore, core or not core, that is a stupid question.

3 weeks does not pass by without a Google update being around the corner. It's either they just got done with one or just announced one.
So, remain calm. I can bet anything there must be another update before the year runs out. Might even be two or more.

The funny thing is the fifth product review update was supposed to happen after the HCU (helpful content update).
Instead, a core update happened instead.
Something tells me Google knows they fucked up, so they brought the core update up prematurely before doing any further updates. OR, they are holding the product review till the later period like before December, and release it so people will opt for Adwords out of desperation.
