namecheap is most trusted registrar , its not like a godaddy shit
also in namecheap Whois guard is free for 1 year, in case of other hosting like godaddy, though they are trading names for cheap,but taking much for whois guard, for a IMer which is essential

Godaddy sucks thats a fact, but you can always move later. i do register .coms with free privacy for $4 (using coupons) and move them next year to namecheap.
namesilo is also good with life time free privacy and good renewal prices like namcheap.

yes, today,I just got that offer in namecheap panel
not sure, whether its for all or not
