Separate IP; how does it work?

Hi, I have a hosting account with some websites hosted in US and under the same IP. I would like one website to have a different IP, from another country. So, when you buy a separate IP does it mean that the website will be placed on a server in that country?

Its possible, but highly unlikely. You will need to contact your provider to see if that is a service they can offer you.

More than likely you will need to find another company or at the very least have another web hosting account setup in the country where you would like the IP to resolve to.

Hi, thanks. Yes, I finally managed to understand. Most companies will only offer IPs for the locations where they actually have servers. So, of course, the best is to go directly to a hosting company located in the targeted country; or close.

IP could be routed from different country

or second account is setup on remote server
