SEOPRESSOR killed my search engine rankings?

Anyone using the plugin? Have you noticed about your site position after optimizing your posts/pages with this plugin?

African Mango is a hot topic amongst dieters right now. Like everyone else i created a site and let it roll. It was on the first page of Google for "african mango" and other variations of it.

I was making 3 - 6 sales p/d.

I decided to optimize some of my posts/pages. I loaded up this plugin which stated that most of my pages scored 50 - 60% optimized. I optimized two of the most important pages on the site which resulted in a 91% score. I left it at that.

I was seeing results but suddenly, after two weeks, my sites tumbles to page 10 and its stayed there for over a week. Its not the famous dance that we all know about.

I cant help but blame Seopressor. Maybe over optimizing resulted in a red flag and Google decided to slap the site although its still indexed the number of unique visitors have dropped from 100 to like 10 p/d.

Any other Seopressor stories? This was mine.

I'm inclined to think it isn't anything about the plugin itself as I've had good results with it. But I have seen cracked versions with injection scripts so maybe theres something else at play.

Iv looked though the rendered output and see nothing there that should be there. Maybe its a co incidence. I was thinking of simply removing the plugin after optimizing to see if it will bounce back. It just seems strange that there are so many NEW sites out there ranking for this product without any noticeable slaps as iv been watching all of those sites. They are as old as mine so i must have been singled out for some reason or another.

I'm using SEOPressor and got good result. I don't think it is because the plugins.
I'm testing it in my new domains.

Weird. Maybe its the iframe line i have at the bottom of my page which i just removed. Dont know what else to think.

If you have duplicate content you will be penalized, so remember that.

Also, if your keyword density is above 5-7% then you will also get penalized, so maybe SEO Pressor increased your keyword density.

For sure it did. One page is 4.9% which i think is a bit high. A good measure is Ezinearticles. If you post an article you get warnings when your keyword density is above 4.0. So i would say 4.0 is about right.

I used seopressor for all my site..switch to easyseo now..no problem at all..i can easily rank for long tail kw..and 2-3% kw density is enough..

I did not get seo pressor nor easyseo to work on any of my website ,cant' fugure what's the problem

Should't be a problem with seopressor, I use a similar plugin and it works pretty well. No negative effects. There could be other factors that caused this. Did you do any backlinking or other SEO?

Not when it dropped. I did a few days later. I added about 10 backlinks p/d. Hasnt seem to do much.

Iv had this problem with a number of themes. Seems to work well with Thesis but not with some of the others.

What are injection scripts? Please explain in some detail, TIA.

Hey Mikie, IMHO it is not the plugin causing u problems, as it gives you suggestions how to improve your onpage optimization as well as few automactic optimization like bold and italicize.

IMO you might having problems due to these factors

1) Duplicate Content
2) Overloaded Keywords and once they are blod and italicize by seopressor, it will be more spammy. Make sure that ur keywords are scattered evenly all over the text with max. 3% - 4% keywords ratio

3) Check your page source html and find out how many H1, H2 and H3 tags are on the pages.

4) Having Search Tagging Plugin on ur site

Is it the plugin that recommends to make all outbound links nofollow and automatically writes your keyword in bold/underline/italic, h1, h2 and h3?

It's pretty much useless. Keyword stuffing no longer works (Only in 1993).

Keyword optimizing is a completely different thing though.
