hi guys.serious noob here. my boss wants to see our products on first page of images section on google. same goes for web as well. but in order to do this i need to beat major companies like castrol /shell / mobil etc. (im in the industrial oil and performance liquids for vehicles business) mb worst way to describe it lol. anyway is it doable? if it is , how long does it take approx. is it cheap service? any1 wants to get paid and help me? thx

Anything is doable but I must say you are taking on a huge task here. I would be interested to hear from some of the bigger players on the forum with what they think.

yeah im not rushing into anything atm

Seeing as you have admitted to not knowing anything about SEO I would suggest that you outsourced this task.

Huge step and hard competition,
but it is possible.
it will cost you Money and time, but yes it is possible.
there are a lot of nice guys to help you out, and also you can use the search button so you learn basics in order to know what you are dealing with.
Learn SEO basics - meet people around the forum and you will be great.
timeline depends on you - your effort - your budget -luck - who is helping you etc etc.
Coaching for money is against the rules here so don't try it or you will get banned.
i could help you with directions on what to start reading and what are the SEO basics (for free), the rest is up to you.

Best wishes.
Leobar!

Hire someone serious to do it, you say it's an industrial company, that should mean that they should have a more serious budget set aside for this task, especially if they want to be on the first page. With enough cash and good outsourcing you can do this, of course.

There are some very good SEO services here.Just browse the BST section

Contact BigBuddy. He is a mod here and a reputed SEO specialist.

According to me first of all you have to optimize the images with the img alt tags, make sure to include the keyword in the img tags. Index all the images by submitting it and anchoring it to some forums. This will not only index your images but also bring them some backlinks. Just try to rank your website and you will see your pictures also ranking soon in Google. I hope I helped you. Sorry if I am wrong this is my first post here.

I've actually done this for one of my clients... it did take quite some time to get it up there. But yep, alt tags is definitely the first step.

Yes it is doable, and cheap is a matter of perspective.

Get your basic keyword research done, then you can decide on how long it might take and how much you need to budget.

Anyone giving you any info without that is guessing.

With industrial terms, it is a mixed bag, some will be incredibly easy, some will be very hard.

It will not be cheap, by anyone's standard.

If your company is a industry supplier, PPC will drive results faster while you wait for the SEO to work.
