SEO with a multi niche blog

Hello bosses, i just want to confirm if operating a multi niche blog could affect or slow down site ranking and organic traffic.

Because i own a multi niche blog, and it seems my blog isn't doing well in terms of ranking and organic traffic, while blogs that are less older than mine are already getting a reasonable amount of traffic from google. Even the indexing on my page takes time(weeks) could this be as a result of the multi niches am operating?

Should i just focus on 1 or two niches or there are other things to do?

By multi niche you mean what? technology, news, viral? im in the same boat
 
make sure you have your silo structure & internal linking done properly. multi-niche can take more time to rank. depends on how many articles/backlinks each sub-niche has. if you have 10 niches with 4 articles in each category, you won't rank.

but if you have 10 niches with 100 articles in each category...all indexed, interlinked and some backlinks on them...you should see decent rankings.
 
Multi niche blogs never affect your site trust status,

Even a niche blog also take time, Just you focus your On page work ,

It's help to fast of your page index :-) Nothing to worry :-)

Focusing on individual niches would be best because at least you could be seen as an expert in that particular topic like Tech or Health or whatever else. But, if you focus on your on-page SEO, there should be no issues operating a multi-niche blog. But, are those sites that are newer than yours focused on one topic?

I'd agree with cloudyseo. Make sure you know how you did your site structure. Silo it properly. You don't want a technology article under a health.
 
Treat each category as a different niche, put relevant and interlinkable content in each category (same type of products would do the best) atleast 10 articles in each category.
If you could find low competitive keywords, you could do well with lil bit off page SEO.
Though there are several factors which impact on your ranking.

They say that you can't serve 2 masters. So focus on 1 first.

Try on focusing on one niche first I suggest.
