SEO will be finished soon?

well when you think about it what is seo main objective?

to create good content and have people share it.

if you have a good product you need to let people know about it and they will share the word

backlinks are a very small part of seo. In most of our closed minds when we think of seo we think of backlinks... we need to change our mind perspective of seo to seo = creating brand awareness. not backlinks.

Once you create brand awareness you will not care about google updates.

its time for IMs to start building good quality sites and not microsites and blasting xrumer and scrapebox blasts.

lets look at bhw why do we all come here? bc of great content/people.

learn to program and you will always have a job. you won't be living and dying by google.

You're talking about white hat. This is BHW.

G still admits that they can't publicize their algo or go into detail about their updates because it would make it easier for people to game their algo.

Their system is gameable and even they admit it, and that's where BH comes in.

Dude are you crazy? Your post doesn't make any sense to me. In which update you see that it against SEO? Gradually SEO will be more safe and manual. One day there will be no Tool to ease the SEO process. Only Manual SEO will give good result and then the demand of SEO persons will be sky touching.

they do call it internet marketing.. so just remember there will always be a need for marketing

SEO isn't dead yet, but it will be dead at some point. Or dead in the sense that Google wants it dead. Technology is increasing at an exponential pace, it's not too far in the future that Google will be able to tell the bullshit from the organic. But SEO also can be within the terms of service. That's eventually where this game will end up. With people who understand the terms of service and offer their service to big companies.

This argument honestly doesn't make sense. If there's no SEO then Google is either:
1) totally random
2) 100% ads

If either of the above become the case, people will (finally) stop using their search engine and move onto something else. They've really been thinning the heard lately, which is actually good for those who stick it out and learn to adapt. This is the case with any industry, we just happen to work in one that changes quite quickly.

Also, I think you're looking at it the wrong way: updates in their algorithm should not surprise you or deter you. It's a part of the game that must be anticipated and expected. You simply can't rely on any one gimmick to rank your site (anchor text, for example), and must plan for these things in advance. A hard learned lesson.

SEO will be dead when they make the first page all paid (instead of the top three and far right paid area's).

It seems that SEO will be finished soon for most of the guys posting in the thread. I am sick of your lack of confidence. Man up or cry me a river. It`s just another way to excuse yourself from moving forward.
