Hi all,

I created a website that is in the Arabic language. Basically for the UAE region. But i am confused with url structure like how should i keep my url.
In english language as we all know we should keep like this :- www.xyz-abc-cde.com but what about in Arabic ?

And one more doubt is regarding off-page. As my website is in Arabic language so i cant able to post everywhere in arabic so what to do ?

I just started my site so was thinking to keep in English only and just will use google translator.

I made it in Arabic so that it will rank easily. Thats all :)

Please help me with good suggestions,

I have been there! created and ranked one such site and went through all these questions :)

Following are my suggestions in response to your questions:

  1. Keep the URL structure in English alphabets. Why? Arabic language uses RTL(right to left) text flow and you will not be able to make sense of keywords in Arabic language.
  2. Off-page SEO in Arabic would be a little different as you will have to reach out to Arabic social media groups to promote such content. Also, for super relevant backlinks.. you will have to reach out to Arabic language websites. English website backlinks would power your website anyways but not as much as Arabic ones.
  3. You'll still rank good if you follow above advice.

Did that answer your question? Let me know :)

Hi Thanks for your reply.
so if my url will be in English and content Arabic so does it make sense? it will not harm my site rite ?? and yes i am not writing content in arabic as its bit difficult to get writer. So i use to convert English content into Arabic using google translator. Is it fine ?

Submitting off-page in the English language is it fine? I dont think it will help me to rank for a particular keyword.

What method do you want to monetize the site?
Which sites pay better for Arab visitors than Google Adsense?

Google doesn't seem to give much credit to exact or partial match URLs anymore. It is more important that the domain is quality and that it works for your site. In general though people don't seem to like more than one hyphen in a URL. A lot of spam domains back in the exact match URL jackpot days used domains like buy-cheap-rugs-online-free-shipping.org to try to game Google. People had some bad experiences and not I avoid URLs with tons of hyphens.

Yes, the URL can be English with Arabic content. See, your domain name is already is English alphabets, you cannot have an Arabic domain name.

Google translator will not help because Google may not allow you to have AdSense on such a website.

You can submit your Arabic content pages to English pages, it would rank somehow.

Ohhkk
so what do you suggest Arabic content with English url or English url with English content. As you know off page i need to do in english website only. Very few arabic i will get :)

You can use English Url and Arabic titles and content. For Offsite, just use Arabic anchor with English content.
OK
Ok! actually its e-commerce website so its product-based and the product is in English only. But does it make sense "
For Offsite, just use Arabic anchor with English content." ? Are you sure this will help me to rank my keywords and its not any black hat technique and not harm my site ?
Thanks!

Yes, used Arabic anchors with English content when building backlinks to Arabic website and it worked well.

Ok but what about building backlinks in English website with English anchor link only. As i said my website is a product based so the product name is in English only. But yes my website content is in Arabic. Is it fine ?

If you use a translator for content, I suggest doing manual edit before using it. You can use an Arabic anchor, if it's an English anchor sometime can increase the bounce rate. (if user doesn't know Arabic)

Are you just going to promote the product name type keyword?
