Hi,

Recently I faced and issue,

I have a website, its ranking dropped suddenly or I noticed that both its on-page tile and SERP title are different. Is there any solution to resolve this issue?

You can do one thing. Check from where Google taking the title. Just mad some little changes.

google does rewrite meta tags (meta descriptions at least, I'm not sure about the titles, but it's possible)...

Anyway, it's one of these 2 scenarios:

- the meta title of your page is different to the on-page title (in which case you can edit the meta title to reflect the on-page title), or...
- google have rewritten your title in which case there's nothing you can do except for swearing at google

Do you use SEO plugin like Rankmath or Yoast SEO? if yes you should be able to edit the meta title on the bottom of the editing post

It's kinda normal for google to re-write descriptions.

But sometimes (not as often as with descriptions) google rewrites titles as well and it can be really annoying. I came up with a catchy/link bait meta title but used something else for the article title... google replaced meta title.

It's because Google thinks page title you used is not right enough so they grabbed another title from a backlink they found somewhere. I will take Google's suggestion and make the changes because they know the best in this case.

This happens when Google decides your title tag isn’t fully aligned with user intent or the content on the page, so it rewrites it.
