I got a bit confused about SEO and I'm not sure about what the best keywords are that can be used with a website. For example every site that I make I use SEO but then I go and check the score at hxxp://whois.domaintools.com and I look at the title and keywords relevancy in the SEO tool and sometimes it's low and sometimes high and I was wondering if this score really matters if the keywords are good? For example if the relevancy score was 19% but keywords were bringing in good traffic and they were actually relevant but in different terms if you know what I mean, then does the score really matter?

Or is that SEO score thing bullshit? lol

i personally think that the SEO score is bullshit and that it doesnt mean a thing. I have a website that has an SEO score of 96% but i dont have shit for traffic. The SEO score is just how well your on page optimization is and that is only part of the battle. It doesnt take into account off-page things such as number of inbound links.

that is just what i think, others may not agree with me.

SEO score gives out the relevancy of the content with the keywords. SEO score doesn't matter a lot. Keywords for which the site is optimized should be selected in the such a way that all the keywords are having high KEI(keyword effective index). i.e the keyword has good traffic and less competitors.

Coming back to my topic. Does anyone know of any good free SEO books which give detailed noob worded explanations to becoming a SEO master? I know I can just look up Google but I was wondering if anyone here would like to recommend something? Thanks.

I suspect every two days someone comes up with its own "score" of keywords/conversionpotential/... and its just a random generated number ;-)

    ciao
