SEO Tips for MyBB forum !

I have a forum which I have made with MyBB 1.8x. I don't have much knowledge about SEO. Can you guys give me some tips to improve my forum SEO and also I want to improve my forum Alexa Rank. I hope you guys will give me some tips.

Add Meta Description ,
Meta keywords,
Alt-tags,
take care of Headings (H1 , H2 , H3 )
add Xml.sitemap

Complete On-page first.

As stated above, fill out all of your onsites around the niche you are targeting.

Some other tips -
Join social media groups related to your niche and advertise your forum
Create a blog and write about the latest happenings within your niche
Have a look at your competitors (if there are any) and take notes on what they are doing
Adding snippets of content on your category pages will help out with some low hanging fruit for you to target

Ignore the banter that it is about alexa ranking, as the approach is still useful for SEO.

organize, categorize everything in the right way. group content and topics. Naturally if you have 200+ members that are actively posting daily, your forum will get good rankings

Yeah but watch out, installing untested plugins is where MyBB forums get hacked.
