SEO Things to do with a VPS

I am considering subscribing to a VPS server.
But I am not sure the tools and services I will run on the server to enhance SEO and marketing.
I am aware of traffic bots to send fake traffic
Also tools like scrapebox.

Can you suggest others and their usage?
Bots especially

Anything which will take too much bandwidth on your own computer, run it on a VPS.
 
Generally is a bad idea to run things in your PC unless you have dynamic IP address. Also, there are some tools that scrape automatically sites, exposed, obviously to security vulnerabilities (after all, they are running a virtual browser, which may execute javascript scripts in some scenarios).

So for example, if you run browser bots like Jingling/Traffic Spirit or HitLeap (to generate credit) I may also chose a VPS.
 
With addition to the seo tools, add an open vpn server,so you have a personal vpn server. I also run specific browser iMacros that i personally made.
