I'm not sure if anybody has posted this yet.but this documentary was just released on the history of SEO:

.

I'm seeing a lot of Rand.

Stupid movie, inflating the heads and egos of those in the industry who already have a helium-filled balloon for a head.

SEO is not rocket science. People watching these movies, following Moz, paying for conferences... They all are literally falling into the marketing trap that they are trying to learn about... C'mon now

For some naive reason I was expecting to learn something new from this, lol. 10 minutes in and it was just SEO gurus talking about partying it up. Yeah, ok. If I wanted to hang with the big boyz then I'd join "team 10", LOL.

YouTube heroes.

ill summarize seo for noobs
1) replicate competitor site and structure with unique content
2) replicate their links or better yet a summary of those in the top x - sort them on DR do top to bottom 80/20 rule -
3) get links indexed if they arent already with tiered linking when done and up authority of those links
in short abuse that hilltop algo
= FUCKING GUARANTEED WIN

now you didnt have to read a $10.000 course to get to know that
these gurus all have their head up their ass with so much bla bla bla

How did that work out for you? Were you able to find 100% of your competitors links and get the same if not better ones?

I believe that you can hide your PBN links from crawlers, so I wonder how you'll be able to find links of your competitors and outrank them?

Honestly, if it was that easy as you described, everyone would be rich and ranking top 10 ezy, but unfortunately that's not the case.

How did that work out for you?
Wait I will show you my sites and niches. :D
Oh wait, ill say I am lying. Oh wait ill say its true.
What kind of answer do you expect here? This question is stupid
What is important is that you can see with your own 2 eyes what ranks and how things rank apart from some hidden stuff which can be compensated, see below. Which you can replicate.

Before you complain (about what exactly?), do it first and then see.
The fact that you get links from multiple competitors compensates for hidden stuff in most cases.
And pbns you can easily make yourself but a lot of niches do not have pbns
It is not important if they are hidden from some crawlers as most do not block all nor is it even an issue if you cant find the pbns as you arent replicating their pbns - For the simple fact that you do not have access to their domains which is what link replication is about
using user generated link type of sites on the same domains as a competitor
Of course that does never apply to PBN's

This is moot my few lines was not intended to be an all encompassing guide for seo but a very good starting point which will beat most cases!

Really? 99 out of 100 here wont even do one tenth and already give up, link replication requires a lot of expertise and knowhow to see how to make the link and how to replicate it. In a lot of cases it is not obvious and in a lot of cases you can even improve it. Also you need to know what to leave and what to take. Hard working nature is required and a LOT of fucking discipline. Really everyone can do this? Thats some BS but I can tell you that anyone who is of strong will can do it with a lot of time and hard work depending on the competition of the niche and you will only be rich if you choose the right niches and tell me even if you have one good niche I doubt it will make you rich lol as the rich niches need so many links it will make your head spin and you need a team for this and even more time

Well, You could get 100% of their BLs . What Major site does is blocking to BLs checker on their websites whereby leaving behind unknown/Unpopular BLS checkers. You making use of Unpopular BLs checkers should give you 99% of their BLs profile.

You seem to know a lot. Can you answer these questions for me.

What is the fastest way to analyze competitor anchors? Ahrefs and Majestic seem to have the most data. I used to be able to go link:competitor.com on Google and some PBN's would show up, but not anymore...

Okay, now I have that anchor text. How do I know if this is the best anchor text?

Should I focus on replicating the top 20% of links at this point?

Now say I have exactly same anchors and top 20% of links. I'll rank close to competitor correct?

How much does tiering affect this? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks!
