SEO Strategy Question

Hey BHW,

Quick question here. Would it be a good idea to make one blog with all the affiliate products I am selling, and do SEO for each one as if it was its own website? So instead of having an individual website for each product, I'd pretty much have one master site. I think that I'd look more trustworthy if I had more than 1 product on the site.

Look into making a review site. That's usually the general idea for what I think you are talking about. You take a bunch of products in one niche and group them together in a website. Of course it doesn't have to be a review site though.
 
Yeah, along the lines of a review site. But this site would have a myriad of products.

Yeah, this is a good way.
 
Indeed, the more products on a site the better it will be - both from an SEO perspective, and from a user perspective.
 
Yeah that's definitely the way to go. Would be great if they were all niche-related reviews as this would give you a good amount of authority and trust which would help with potential customers/sales.
 
Yes make authority Review site always better and long term worth ;)
 
Review site, pick a niche and group all the products in that niche..:)
 
You will have to add content for each product. The best way is to write reviews.
Also use Keyword Planner to find what people are looking for in this product you have.
 
Yes definitely, it will be good idea to add all the products in one site and then promote it. And also write some genuine review for all the products

Build 1 big site with all your products and create different pages for each languages you want. I suppose by now, you already know which countries converts better, focus on them.
 
For every niche, you can create a subdomain and you can post products there, this is the way lots of popular review sites are doing.
 
What you are talking about is making a review authority site which means it is going to take a lot of work and money.
Make sure you do not include any spam directly related to the website.

Very important or you could very quickly end up with a lot of problems.....
 
This can work well

PRO's


  • Easy to manage
  • Cheap (one domain - one hosting package - one theme or website design)
  • Build brand over time

CON's

  • All "eggs in one basket". If Google does a site wide slap you might lose it all
  • Staying on theme. Early choices can come back and bite you on the ass as site expands over time. This topic alone could go one for several paragraphs, but it's happened to me as a site grown past your original plans you realize that the original navigation is not sufficient, the categories you set up are too few or too restrictive, the host you went with does not scale well, the name doesn't evoke on some of the topics/niches you want to move in to.

Think about all these things up front

Also - final tip. If you are Wordpress or some other flexible CMS - then think long and hard before using subdomains. Pages or subfolders are often better.

All in all though I think it's a decent way forward. A couple of authority sites - over time - and on broad niches (rather than mini or micro niches) will allow you to blog about and sell a very wide range of products.
