    hello my dear BHW fellows,
i am here to ask the advice of those users who have got a blog with decent amount of visitors...say >5000 uv a day.

    I would like to know:

    1) What other link build strategy can I adopt?apart from linkwheels, backlink profiles, articles to directories and social bookmarking. I am missing blog comments but it looks spammy to me...what other strategy can I adopt?

    2) IMPORTANT ISSUE. I am on a wordpress blog. Some competitors of mine, despite do not have a big quantity of external backlinks manage to get tons of ORGANIC traffic. Sure, he has got a couple of comments with backlinks on a couple of high PR blogs but that's all I can fetch.

I think that he manges to get tons of ORGANIC traffic because he has got a good ONPAGE SEO STRATEGY (in fact he has got the famous thesis theme).
I was looking for some well-.knows and good established SEO company (no kids, no private people i dont know what they know) but there are too many of them!

Do you have any good advice for me? PLS DO NOT BOMB MY MESSAGE BOX WITH TONS OF OFFERTS FROM SEO DOERS...only looking for SEO companies...

    Try the following :

    1) Directory submissions

Submitting your website to directories as a link building strategy has already been beaten with a stick hundreds of times, but it still remains a valid tactic that definitely works. Of course, that's if you're doing it the right way.

Submitting your website to a few (which can vary from about 5 to a few dozen) high quality relevant directories? Yes. Auto-submitting your website to several hundreds of general directories? No. Identify which directories are the most important and relevant ones for your company (which can either be general, niche or local directories), submit your website, and move on.

    2) Linkbbaits

    3) Q&A Websites

Get backlinks from Answers.com , yahoo answers and http://www.mahalo.com/answers

    4) .edu and .gov backlinks

    5) Backlinks from Video sites

Just like image websites can help you to build links and drive traffic, video websites can do the same. Regularly upload great, relevant videos to YouTube, Vimeo or any other video website you think is useful in order to build up a subscriber base. Add relevant tags and a link to your website, so you can easily get found on the video website and can lead traffic to yours. These videos don't have to be explosively amazing or remarkably clever; sometimes surprisingly simple can be enough as well. Tools like TubeMogul can make the process of uploading to multiple video hosting sites somewhat easier and faster.

    Hope this helps!

Best traffic source (in demand) would be yahoo answers, twitter, facebook and other sites that could catch other's interests.
