Hi -

I been browsing through a lot about SEO Ranking Methods on BHW - Can you suggest what is working and what is not working in 2023?

Thanks in advance for your time and suggestions

Ranking with bulk spam links is nearly dying (it works for some BH niches)

GP and PBNs are best choices if you have reasonable budget

I don’t think anyone here will just hand you the keys to ranking.

It takes work. However, the short & sweet version is:

- Good content. Ensure that each article you post answers the searchers intent and has good on-page SEO.

- Social media campaigns. Creating pages on each social media platform and posting your content on those pages. An ad campaign via fb, twitter, and Google ads.

- Backlink creation. You can actually find some okay link sources here on the forum to create a few links for free. Outside of that, you’ll want a tiered backlink structure.

Good links are things like quality PBN & niche edits. Edus & .GOV links as well.

It’ll take time for you to understand what a good backlink looks like, but you’ll get there.

Quite useful, Appreciate the explanation in detail mate :)

What's working for me is...

1. Building a topical coverage content plan around easy to rank keywords. (50+ posts)
2. Produce high quality content with semantic search in mind. (AI + human hybrid)
3. Optimize internal links, images and load time.
4. Patience. (Wait 3-6 months, while continuing to drip out content).
5. Off-page SEO. (Brand foundation links and link targets from competitors).

I would like to advise something of myself that works well, I think you will also be useful:
  1. Creating high-quality and relevant content that satisfies user intent.
  2. Optimizing for mobile devices since more people are using smartphones.
  3. Building authoritative and natural backlinks from reputable sites.
  4. Improving website speed and user experience.

Blocking out superficial distractions and focus 99% of your efforts on the basics:

- Creating genuinely great content supported by onpage SEO 1.0 (the right meta text, title tags, etc.)

- Put this genuinely great content in front of people who want to link to it spontaneously / share it (many niches do indeed require backlinks to crack page 1)

Whatever many guru's try to tell you, SEO for 99% comes down to that.

Took me a little while to figure this out. The hours I've spent reading up on SEO, hanging on FB groups, trying to understand as much about the topic as possible..... Sure it has helped, but if I've got to be totally honest with myself it has had a pretty poor ROI vs. just putting my head down and putting in the actual work.

So what does creating genuinely great content actually mean? Well, here's a few pointers:

- Well written (I recommend you buy some books on copywriting)

- Informative, unique, thorough (don't have freelancers who know nothing about your topic ever write anything for you)

- Well-designed. This one too is really important. If you don't have any experience in this regard I recommend you to extensively study design. It does make a massive difference (think bounce rate, time on page etc.)

Also, you can use some good tools such as ahrefs or semrush (Ahrefs is my choice) to "Steal" Backlinks from your "enemies" and understand what's your competitors are doing on SEO. You can use ahrefs to download all the links that are your competitors has and then you can pitch them to create a link to your website. This will help your site looks good

thank cuevaspatriciaj, great points. I agree with you that content is the number 1 method to win the race. As many gurus said: Content is the king of SEO. Creating quality content that is useful and helpful for any website. Great contents with organic keywords generate more organic traffic to website.
And yes, backlink is #2 in the seo method. Use ahrefs to export backlink from competitor is a pretty good idea. However, not everyone can afford to own this excellent tool due to its high cost, especially for newcomers in the field of SEO.

SEO, like many other professions, requires both financial investment and effort. Investing in content creation involves investing time, knowledge, and writing articles yourself or hiring someone to write content for your website. Investing in SEO tools means investing in powerful tools that help you understand your competitors, similar to hiring a market analysis company when working in the stock market or finance. Personally, I have found that investing in SEO is effective and relatively low-risk. Even if you don't achieve immediate success, you gain valuable lessons for future SEO work. For newcomers in SEO, it can be expensive to own tools like Ahrefs, especially if they haven't generated revenue from SEO yet. However, you can looking for group buy for Ahrefs accounts, which are relatively affordable and reasonable. Keep in mind that you may not have access to the full range of features compared to the official service. However, having important features such as backlink research and competitor analysis without limitations is already beneficial.

That's a really cool comment. Would love to hear your suggestions on books! Share account is a really great idea to save on initial costs when you're just starting to study and practice SEO. Can you recommend the service you are currently using.

I use the service provided by this one. However, as I mentioned in previous comment, like many other service providers, they also restrict certain features when using their accounts. They also limit the usage time, so you can't use it 24/7, and sometimes the connection can be a bit slow.

Just get an aged domain and dive in
You'll save a lot of time as far as indexing is concerned

All you need to follow the core SEO best practices such as keyword research, technical SEO, site speed, mobile-friendliness, user experience, and analytics.

Short and sweet. Just how I like it.

Its really simple and this all you need to know.

However, the devil in the deatils. Choosing the easy keywords, and finding good source of backlinks will be your lifetime journey

It's a raw question, everything depends on the niche and keywords you're targeting. Most working techniques are a mix of all major ones in the right proportion, like guest posts, PBNs, Niche edits, etc.,

True! I have a viable KGR alternative. So, that's the keywords covered. The off-page stuff isn't really required if you get the other aspects right. But, it does help.

I was there once. Try to get the off-page right and you won't need the other parts anymore. .. and your revenue will be 10x or more ^_^
