SEO Question!

hi,

I have a very competitive keyword (from google adwords). I rank on place 6 and 7. but still only 10-20 visits! i checked with seo elite, traffic travis.. Market samurai tells i will get morethan 1200 visits if i am in first spot! my SEO became kinda joke here! some help would be nice..

hi it depends how many times EXACT your keyword are visited eacht months? check it first in google adwords (set up the country of yourself in google adwords)

next step: (then i use my own keyword as an example):

14000 visitors monthly according to google adwords.

14000 x 30%= 4200 visitors I will have if I reach the first place.

30% are the number of clicks that owns to the person who has a first spot.

So, you want your site to be ranked no.1 for your KW?
Google adwords tool is not a right tool to conclude the competition is tough. Check it with MS.
Do proper on-site SEO build quality backlinks and you can bring your site to No:1.
You should ask questions specifically so that others can answer easily, than broadly.

to be honest your stats seem to be pretty much spot on.

As for any keyword that i should be getting 1200 for being top spot i would expect for being ranked 6th or 7th to only get that amount of traffic.

Dont forget that being in top 2 spots means you get 80% of the traffic and then slowely it gets less as you go down page

market samurai shows 1.2k visits.. but adwords shows something else.. it shows only 1.6k per month, and MS shows it as daily clicks!

Am getting around 30-40 visitors daily for a site at #2 for 14K exact + 8K exact. So, the visitors you are getting is justified.

so how to get a keyword that actually brings down traffic?
