Something that is probably banal but here we go:

Users google search the name of a company, lets say ABC (ABC main website).
Another website, lets call it ABC-related website - How is it possible to rank / position it on google search in from of ABC main website?

This is a wildly disproportionate example, but lets say trying to make amazon-abc.xyz list in front of amazon com.

Any advice, guidelines and hints on the latest BH techniques will be much appreciated.

Thank you

Its too precious to share any advice on this subject? :)

No matter what you do, you can't replace original domain. Only possibility is that the original domain doesn't have official social media pages and foundation links, where you build links impersonating them. Many people try to rank for crypto and finance websites to pull off scams. So, Google is strict in this matter.

Thank you for your input. Appreciate it.

The (original) website is heavy on SEO, they have the first 3 pages all filed up with basically noise.
The hope was that the website that tags along the original (has content talking about original website) to rank somewhere anywhere on the first page.

In past 24 hours seen that this is quite difficult.

You need a ton of backlinks with brand name as the anchor and people referring to your domain when talking about the brand.

I did it in the past. The strategy is to rank parasites with the brand name and then link your domain. As the traffic funnels to your site through these parasites, Google will eventually rank your site. But it depends on the site authority. It may not work for high authority sites.

Is organic traffic helpful?
Or better said, is organic traffic the most important metric that could determine google to rank the site on the 1st page (not necessarily in front of the main website)?

Traffic will outweigh pretty much any other metric. You can find some parasite info on this website just search for it.

I'll do that, thank you.
At the moment this is a proof of concept project and I can't involve too much resources, but there's hope I see if traffic is the top metric.

Thank you @theautomationdomination

It's more about signals. Google just tries to serve user intent. If you send signals that other sites consider you as the brand and users prefer your site over others, then it'll eventually rank your site.

So, yes... traffic is an important factor. But you need to do other things like link building to complement it.

To rank a website higher than the official one (like amazon-abc.xyz vs. amazon.com), you'll need to:
  1. Focus on high-quality SEO: Optimize content, backlinks, and on-page elements for keywords.
  2. Target low-competition long-tail keywords that the main site may not focus on.
  3. Use black-hat techniques, like cloaking or link farming, but be cautious as it can result in penalties.
  4. Improve user engagement (bounce rate, time spent on page) to send positive signals to search engines.
However, be aware that using black-hat SEO can result in the site being banned by search engines. Always weigh the risks.

Being a side project, a proof of concept I have no other option but to start small and slow and build or drive the audience to it.

This website is complementary to the main website, though completely independent from it. The service offered helps the users of the main website (main brand). So, it should get traction. The issue is that the main website is so, so over the top with their SEO. 3-4 pages of google are filled with only their links to their website and sprinkled here and there some high auth websites.

Thank you for your input @Starblazer

Instead of trying to beat abc.com for "ABC", go after:

  • ABC reviews
  • Is ABC a scam?
  • How to contact ABC
  • ABC login help
  • Alternatives to ABC
  • ABC complaints
These long-tail keywords are often less competitive, but still high intent.

Don't just try to rank for ABC it will not work this strategy you basic fight with their strenght. Try to use very close keywords or something that include ABC keyword but long tails

depends on how competitive the brand name is
VERY competitive! The first 3 4 pages are links to their website in various languages, then links to their socials.

try some CTR manipulation.
For me this goes into unknown space. I have no idea what this is. And again to re-repeat, this is a proof of concept project I'm trying out on the sidelines, not able to go all in on it with time and resources.

@camgroup thank you this is useful!!!

And you suggest blog pages/articles on the website's blog section, or PRs?
I mean which is better, create a blog section on this website-B with title "Website-A Review", or post pressreleases with this title?

Does ABC get a lot of searches per month?

Is ABC a brand as big as Amazon or is it a small/medium sized company though?

If it is a medium/small company with a well-known brand then you can try to outbid your money page.

First of all:

- ABC name domain with a different extension

- building a network of social profiles around ABC with a link to your domain

- acquiring a large number of backlinks to your social profile grid on ABC anchors

- acquiring backlinks to your domain from sponsored articles optimized for ABC, then positioning these sponsored articles

- a large number of backlinks from PBN homepages to your domain on ABC anchors

- CTR manipulation on the ABC word and side words

It’s definitely possible, but tough — especially if the main brand has strong authority and Google sits them on top by default (site links + branded entity weight).

I’ve seen some success using a combo of:

High CTR manipulation on the secondary domain

Building entity strength via social signals + citations

Optimized GMB + schema where applicable

But it’s rarely sustainable unless you work on long-term authority building + behavior
al signals.

u gotta spoof trust like a ghostwriter on payroll. brandjacking 101. get exac match in domain and slap intent in title n meta. hijack their keyword map but twist it slight so G don’t auto-bury u.
juice it with expireds, dox-quality links, g news embeds, social activity. hit it with ctr if needed but pace it slow.
