SEO Question

I have a clothing website which when we run out of an items we typically delete it but I would like to keep the page available for google to crawl. The item would show as out of stock but the on site seo would help me rank. I see Sears and walmart are doing this any thoughts? How can I achieve this on shopify without it showing on the shop page?

Link to another page and show it as ; "this might be of interest " or " similar in style "

So keep the url but change the images and add more text?

Yeah. You could add something like; This is currently out of stock, but have you considered this;;; then link to that other page.

Show related items in that page.

Yeah keep the same URL and change the theme and add more products to navigate another page.

Keep the page and state "stock coming next Monday!" and everyone will wonder what Monday you are referring to and it will stick to google index
