and after that i bookmarked those pages so that it get soon index in google and then do AA blast form scrapebox of those blogs links

I would advise you to create a link pyramid myself.

Create web 2.0 for tier 1, AMR blast the web 2.0's and then follow up with a blast on the articles with scrapebox and xrumer.

Bookmark, rss feed and ping web 2.0's and amr articles

Should see some gains in the serps with effective link pyramids.

Make sure content is spun in depth.

Just subscribe Senuke X then you can make pyramid backlinks with different account which very good to your site every days.

Or save yoursself the funds and use better less expensive software to create your web2.0's, tier 1's and tier 2's :)

to answer your question, yes, blogs do help you in the SERP if you have keyworded them correctly. Meaning is your keyword in the h1 tag, and if it is, it has to be exactly as the keyword you want to rank for, do not spin it, it hurts you later. I believe someone before me did say that SEO is long term and PPC is short term, he is correct. However, if you are looking to monetize your site, SEO is the way to go because it gives continuous traffic as opposed to PPC which gives you the traffic you pay for.

For the blogs, also choose secondary related keywords so that if you are not picked up for the primary keyword you can be picked up for the secondary keywords. I normally like to bold tag my main keyword and italic tag my secondary keyword for my little attempt at on site SEO.

Lastly it is always worth it to do blogs and SEO them properly. SEO is a long process, and monetizing a site is an even longer process. You have to put in the work now in order to reap the rewards later.

I think this is very good advice, and if i may add 1 thing that i do and works well for me is build tons of links to your link pyramid, i have had tons of boost from running sses links to my linkwheel/pyramid.
