If you are targeting globally, I would suggest some of the most common global extensions like .com,.org (or).net.

do org domains work well as com for emails and seo ?
Yes I know seo....google treats them all equally but I not believe that so.........there will be a small fine shady line.
The same I can ask why big media companies most of them using the expensive MS Sitecore cms instead of free wordpress, who is the best worldclass cms? What makes Sitecore cms better than the free Wordpress?
My short 5 letter lastname domain is taken (parked by tucowsdomains.com) with ; com,net, co, blog, me, hence the xyz is taken too -damm!
My lastname is available with; org, live,life, blog, network, news, pro, one......the news doman would be great if I setup a cloned site like lite.cnn.com who only shows the title (copied 1:1) so I can have two multipkle domains with org and news....
But I would say today net, org, io, xyz, store, shop domains rank well I not often see me, blog, or site domains.
A few years back the .is domain (iceland) makes the round in the web, it's an expensive domain is it worth to buy?
With all country domains you will rank first in iceland than globally I guess.

My sites are indexed fast within 12 days after I bought the domain and setup a standard wp theme (is not finished yet the design) what would happen when I buy the short lastname .org domain then do a 301 redirect from my com domain to the new org domain?
Will the older com domain disapper in the serps and the new org domain will show up? Will it takes longer than 12 days that google will index my new org domain with content on my website? I'am not sure about this.

Wow! when I type in google my com domain name +digital marketing (the website is not finished yet has no content) is ranks on google first page spot nr. 6! I have two websites with my name com +net both showing up, hahahahaha......
intent search but I think google will modify this feature, on mobile I not see multiple domains popping off like bloomberg as example, now they have buttons under the serp descriptions, clickable buttons (categories), also google preferred showing multiple categories of a domain instead of pages, when I not have any type of search result blindness.....you will be stand out in the serps no matter if your domain pops up multiple times or google shows your domain with multiple clickable buttons in the serp description.

Choose a commonly used and recognized domain extension like .com, .org, or .net for better readability by Google.

Definitely agree, i would like to add premium domains are getting extra attention or a ranking factor lets called it when it comes to SEO.
