SEO Priorities

Greetings all,

I am usually a lurker, but I have a question. I have a rather large website with over 3,200 posts and over 4,000 images. When I created the website over 6 years ago, I honestly had no clue what I was doing. To be frank I still have no clue what I am doing. I recently ran an AHREFS audit on the site and found thousands of errors.

So my question is this, which of the below is the highest priority to fix? Or rather, how should I rank the below to fix first?

Missing alt text
Title too long
Word count for posts
H1 tag empty or missing
Orphan page (has no incoming internal links)
Page and SERP titles do not match

It would all go down under one point - On-Page SEO Fixing only some issues is like having a car but with no windows, no radio, no doors.... well its still a car but...

I would go:
1. H1 empty
2. missing alt
3. titles too long

and then just the rest...
Word count for thousands of posts? That will take fa***ing ages

Missing alt text - can live without alt text
Title too long - doesn't matter much
Word count for posts - how's that even relevant to ranking?
H1 tag empty or missing - depends
Orphan page (has no incoming internal links) - that's where I'd start
Page and SERP titles do not match - google rewrites some titles and descriptions so nothing you can do

Most of the orphan pages are tags. For example, https://website.com/tag/xyz

So, I am not really sure what to do with those. There are so many tags across the site and I am not sure how to tell if they are attracting any organic traffic.

What do you mean by tags? If this is like varients that arent too important try adding links with ../tag as no index in robots.txt.

To be honest, I would NOT worry too much about the other four but, having orphan pages is critical especially if they are ranking well in search results. If this is the case, you´re missing out on an amazing opportunity to leverage that.
