For those of you selling SEO services, how are you determining the price to charge your clients?

Understand the 3 options for pricing:
- One time services and pricing
- Performance based
- Continuity
Determine your prices
- value you deliver (time saving, money saving, profit building, making them better
business people)
- cost to deliver it (outsourcing, tools, time, profit)
Consider whether you will offer packages or customized services
Determine payment terms
- upfront pricing
- monthly pricing
Key factor here will be your clients customer value. I do not touch businesses that don't make more than $1500 of a customer. Try to understand your clients business and try to get a number out of him.
more often than not ppl undervalue the services or appear desperate. Some ppl swear on "giving discounts" to make the client feel like being in control. I am strongly against it. I NEVER give a discount because I am Not a walmart, however I will TRIM /reduce the services offered to the client. I also might give him/her some free teaser, promotional video, article, few backlinks or something like that. Now that works for some ppl not for others.

from my side, charges are depends on the keywords competition and the requirement of the clients.. I generally charged for One time set up and on page activities and off page activities (Links submission)... so all in all i offer packages to client as per their requirements.. and tht could be
$800/m to $1000/m... for 5 keywords ranking... and so on...

Here are the following factors on which cost of work matter:
1 Services you offered
2 Keywords
3 Time on which you delivered work
4 At the end profit will makes his place
And according to me 300$ Per Month is much enough for the good SEO for a website.

No, that's for the site. I warn that if they want me to spread my hours over too many keywords at once though that it will likely be less effective and recommend they only have me focus on few at once until they are happy with those rankings.
Typically one main keyword and a few longtails/location based keywords. I'm in NYC so I can charge a premium. It depends on the client though.

I will add no 5 as how much client is earning now and what will be the % increase in that earning after SEO is successful?
If client is running a small sized business(< 1k monthly profits) one can quote less and for medium sized business you can go for more..... and so on.

I think most people do a market analysis and try to quote a market related prize which is more or less in line what there competitors would charge. Pretty pointless trying to charge allot more than your competitor for the same service.
It also depends on the demand for he service or rather your ability to stimulate an demand.

Mine is totally different pricing list then given above....
I charge just a minimal of 100$ first for the set up of the website. Set up means taking care of the on pages and then.... PAY FOR PERFORMANCE... that means I charge only when I get them ranked for the given keyword.
