SEO PowerSuite question

Hi My web site is ranking well in google for my main keywords. Most keywords are in googles top 5 positions. Just been using SEO PowerSuite to see if my pages can be optimised a bit more.
Why is that SEO PowerSuite looks at the top ten sites in google for a particular keyword. My page is already in the top 5. Why does SEO PowerSuite take into account sites that are ranking below my site in the rankings. I can't see the point of this. There should be away of comparing my site to other sites ranking above mine. And ignoring the sites ranking below mine.

Does anyone know if IBP can be set to ignore sites that are ranking below mine ?

I'm not sure about IBP, I've heard good things, but I've just been using powersuite. Even though some of the sites are below you, they are still competition. You are beating them now, but wouldn't you also like a warning if one was moving up on you. Just a thought.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not using the rank tracker.
I'm using the WebSite Auditor to fine tune such things as my Page Title and Meta description etc. Just can't see the point of fine tuning that includes results of web sites ranking below mine.

Does any one know if IBP can exclude sites ranking below mine ?

I just tried to buy SEO powersuite.....when I go to there website and try to pay I'm getting shed loads of certification errors.....even when it takes me to the paypal site.
